Ideaphora is offering four Connecting Knowledge Grants to support educators and students in using knowledge mapping to assimilate information from open education resources. One grant of $1,500 and three grants of $500 will be awarded to educators who demonstrate the following criteria:
- Creativity.
- Innovative teaching methods.
- Ability to foster students' critical thinking skills.
Grant winners will earn:
- Money toward a professional development conference.
- Free yearlong subscription to Ideaphora for their classroom.
- Recognition among their peers and opportunities to publish their findings.
To apply, simply follow these steps:
- Sign up to participate in the free Ideaphora Classroom Pilot program.
- Use Ideaphora with your students to introduce or reinforce curriculum concepts, or to assess their understanding.
- Fill out the application on this page and submit examples of students' maps.
Grant Terms and Conditions:
- Entry period begins March 17, 2016, at 12:01 a.m. PT, and ends June 1, 2016, 11:59 p.m. PT.
- The grant program is open to people who are 18 years of age and older and who are employed as a full-time or part-time classroom teacher, media specialist, curriculum specialist, technology specialist or school librarian for students in any grade from Kindergarten through Grade 12 during the 2015-16 school year and who intends to continue teaching into the following school year.
- Grant money must be used for attendance or travel to a professional development conference chosen at the winners' discretion. Funds will be administered as a conference stipend to the winners once they've indicated in writing the conference they plan to attend.

- Entry into the grant program does not constitute employment, joint venture, or partnership between you and Ideaphora.
